"YES, YES, YES!!!" I need everyone to channel their "When Harry Met Sally" restaurant scene energy, read this, then confidently exclaim, "I'LL HAVE WHAT SHE'S HAVING!" If you're searching for a wedding cake, cupcakes, or simply to get your afternoon dessert fix, STOP!!! You needn't look any further!!! Flour Child Bakery is THE ANSWER!!! Two weeks ago, I married my best friend. I was thrilled to finally make it down the aisle, but what I truly couldn't wait for was to see (and eat!) the incredible cake and cupcakes from Flour Child that awaited us inside the venue... I started planning our wedding in February, so we didn't have much time to ruminate over the many options! I knew I wanted something coffee-flavored, and wanted to see lots of pretty cake/cupcake combo designs. Flour Child clearly listed an espresso Swiss meringue buttercream frosting option on their website and had a variety of beautiful, unique, and delicious-looking photos to browse! It was so easy to reach out and immediately connect with Cassie. From start to finish, her expertise, guidance, patience, creativity, warmth, and passion guided me through the process of choosing the perfect wedding cake and cupcakes!

I honestly never have been here but this bakery saved my life….ok more like my pregnancy craving. I thought I was sending a friend on a wild goose chase to find a strawberry rhubarb pie. The only thing I wanted to eat for like a week and could not find one…..my Husband could not find one…..my mom could not find one…even my dedicated father….nope no strawberry rhubarb pie:( My friend walked in here and like Jesus sent from the pie heavens there it was. Best pie I have had next to the ones my grandmother use to make. Thank you Flower Child bakery you are my Pie god.

Had four child bakery make our wedding cake! We got red velvet, almond butter cream, and espresso filling! It was delicious, and we’ve been enjoying the cake for the past couple of days after the wedding! Thank you guys so much! :)

I don’t even know where to start—this bakery is absolutely incredible. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care, passion, and pride that goes into everything they do. The owners are truly top notch—genuine, hardworking, and clearly dedicated to creating something special. That energy carries right through to the staff, who are always warm, welcoming, and beyond helpful. And the baked goods? Unreal. Every single thing I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and made with obvious attention to detail. You can taste the quality in every bite. Whether you’re stopping in for something sweet, something comforting, or just a little treat for yourself, you honestly can’t go wrong. This place isn’t just a bakery—it’s an experience. If you haven’t been yet, you are seriously missing out.

We are visiting the VB area and we like to try locally owned bakeries when visiting. The Flour Child did not disappoint. We tried the stuffed death by chocolate and the strawberry cake. Both were fresh and the flavors were great. Sometimes you only get a sweet, sugary flavor, but these had actual strawberry and chocolate flavors. The person in the shop was friendly and helpful. I encourage everyone to seek out and support local bakeries especially when they are as good as this one.
